Terms of service

Last updated: 6/6/2026

These Terms of Service apply to all purchases made through Yarn Haul, including purchases made through our website, checkout, invoices, payment links, or any related sales channel.

By placing an order with Yarn Haul, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms, including our delivery, customs delay, cancellation, refund, and chargeback terms.

SECTION 1 – ELIGIBILITY & CUSTOMER ACCOUNT

By using our website or placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your location.
  • All information you provide is accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • You are responsible for checking your order details before purchase.
  • You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address and contact details used at checkout.

We may refuse, cancel, suspend, or restrict access to orders, accounts, or services where we believe there is fraud, abuse, misuse, payment risk, or breach of these Terms.

SECTION 2 – OUR PRODUCTS

Yarn Haul sells factory-direct yarn products manufactured and shipped internationally.

We aim to display products as accurately as possible, but you acknowledge that:

  • Colours may appear differently depending on your screen, lighting, device settings, or photography.
  • Product appearance may vary slightly from images shown.
  • Minor variations in shade, size, winding, shape, texture, finish, or weight may occur due to bulk manufacturing.
  • Yarn may arrive compressed, flattened, compacted, or creased due to international packing and transit.
  • Factory-direct yarn may require fluffing, separating, reshaping, or handling after opening.

These characteristics are normal for factory-direct bulk yarn and are not considered faults or defects.

We may update, modify, replace, or discontinue products at any time.

SECTION 3 – FACTORY-DIRECT MODEL

Yarn Haul operates a factory-direct international shipping model.

This means that products are dispatched from overseas manufacturing or logistics facilities and shipped internationally to customers. This model allows us to offer lower bulk pricing, but it also means orders may be affected by international freight, export controls, import procedures, customs checks, port congestion, carrier delays, and other logistics events outside our control.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept that Yarn Haul is not a next-day, domestic, or guaranteed-date delivery service.

SECTION 4 – ORDERS

Placing an order is an offer to purchase goods from Yarn Haul.

An order is accepted only when payment has been received and an order confirmation has been issued.

You are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The items, colours, quantities, and delivery address are correct.
  • Your email address and phone number are correct.
  • You understand the estimated delivery timeframe before completing checkout.
  • You have read and agreed to these Terms before purchase.

We may refuse or cancel an order at our discretion, including where there is suspected fraud, pricing error, stock issue, payment issue, or delivery risk.

SECTION 5 – ORDER PROCESSING, CANCELLATION & AMENDMENTS

Because Yarn Haul uses a factory-direct international shipping model, orders may be processed quickly and entered into the logistics chain before tracking becomes active.

Once an order has been processed, packed, dispatched, handed to a carrier, export agent, freight provider, customs broker, or logistics partner, the order cannot usually be cancelled, amended, recalled, redirected, stopped, or retrieved.

By placing an order, you agree that:

  • You may not cancel an order once it has entered processing or dispatch.
  • We cannot guarantee address changes after an order is placed.
  • We cannot retrieve an order once it has entered the export, freight, customs, import, or final-mile delivery process.
  • Refusing delivery, requesting a chargeback, or demanding cancellation after dispatch does not stop the parcel from continuing to its destination.

Where we are able to assist with a change before processing or dispatch, we may do so at our discretion, but we are not obligated to do so.

SECTION 6 – PRICING & PAYMENT

All prices are shown at checkout and may change at any time.

Unless stated otherwise at checkout, our prices include:

  • The yarn products purchased.
  • Standard international delivery.
  • Duties, import taxes, or local customs charges payable by the customer for the covered shipment.

Customers should not normally be required to pay customs duties or import charges separately for Yarn Haul orders where our checkout states that these are included. If a customer is incorrectly contacted for payment of duties or import charges, they should contact us before making payment.

You agree to provide accurate billing and payment information and confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.

SECTION 7 – SHIPPING & DELIVERY ESTIMATES

Yarn Haul advertises an estimated average delivery timeframe of approximately 25–28 days.

This timeframe is an estimate only. It is not a guaranteed delivery date.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Delivery estimates are based on normal shipping, customs, and courier conditions.
  • Delivery may be faster or slower than the estimated average.
  • Tracking may not update immediately.
  • Tracking may only become active once the parcel reaches a certain stage of the logistics process or final-mile courier network.
  • International shipping can be affected by events outside Yarn Haul’s control.

Delivery estimates may be affected by, including but not limited to:

  • China export checks or inspections.
  • U.S. import checks or inspections.
  • Customs clearance delays.
  • Port congestion.
  • Airline, vessel, or freight delays.
  • Carrier delays.
  • Weather events.
  • Public holidays.
  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery information.
  • High-volume shipping periods.
  • Government action, border controls, or regulatory checks.

Yarn Haul is not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities, government agencies, carriers, freight providers, customs brokers, ports, airports, border control, or events outside our reasonable control.

SECTION 8 – CUSTOMS, EXPORT & IMPORT INSPECTIONS

Some parcels may be randomly or specifically selected for inspection by customs, export, import, border, or government authorities.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • Customs inspections are outside Yarn Haul’s control.
  • Yarn Haul cannot decide whether a parcel is inspected.
  • Yarn Haul cannot speed up, cancel, override, or prevent a customs inspection.
  • Customs clearance times are not guaranteed.
  • Customs inspections may cause delays beyond the advertised average delivery timeframe.
  • Customs delays may last from a few days up to 45 days, depending on the authority, inspection process, and circumstances.

Once a parcel has entered the export, import, customs, freight, or delivery process, Yarn Haul cannot stop it from continuing to the delivery address once released.

You agree that customs inspection or customs delay does not automatically make an order eligible for cancellation or refund where the parcel remains in transit and is still expected to be delivered.

SECTION 9 – CUSTOMER AGREEMENT TO DELIVERY RISK

By completing checkout, you confirm that you understand and agree that:

  • Yarn Haul uses an international factory-direct shipping model.
  • Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.
  • The advertised 25–28 day delivery timeframe is an average estimate only.
  • Customs checks, export inspections, import inspections, and carrier delays may occur.
  • Customs delays are outside Yarn Haul’s control.
  • A parcel delayed by customs may still be delivered.
  • Once an order has entered the logistics process, it may not be possible to cancel, recall, redirect, or stop the parcel.
  • You are not entitled to a refund solely because a parcel is delayed by customs, provided the parcel remains in transit and is not confirmed lost.
  • If a parcel is later delivered after a refund, chargeback, reversal, or payment dispute, Yarn Haul reserves the right to recover the unpaid amount or require return of the goods.

This agreement forms a material part of your purchase.

SECTION 10 – DELAY COMPENSATION POLICY

Although customs and logistics delays are outside our control, Yarn Haul may offer compensation where a parcel is significantly delayed.

If your parcel is delayed by more than 15 days beyond the advertised estimated delivery window, we may offer one or more of the following at our discretion:

  • Store credit.
  • Partial refund.
  • Discount code.
  • Goodwill compensation.
  • Other suitable compensation.

Delay compensation is offered as a goodwill gesture and does not mean that the order is cancelled, lost, or refundable in full.

A parcel is not considered lost simply because it is delayed. A parcel will only be treated as lost where the carrier, freight provider, customs broker, or logistics partner confirms that it is lost, undeliverable, seized, destroyed, or permanently unable to be delivered.

SECTION 11 – LOST, SEIZED OR UNDELIVERABLE PARCELS

If a parcel is confirmed lost by the carrier, freight provider, customs broker, or logistics partner, Yarn Haul will review the case and may offer a replacement, refund, or store credit depending on the circumstances.

If a parcel is returned, refused, abandoned, seized, destroyed, or made undeliverable due to customer error, including but not limited to incorrect address information, refusal to accept delivery, failure to respond to courier contact, or failure to provide requested information, Yarn Haul may deduct any unrecoverable shipping, return, storage, handling, customs, or logistics costs from any refund or credit.

Where a parcel is delayed but still moving through customs, freight, or delivery networks, it is not considered lost.

SECTION 12 – RETURNS & REFUNDS

Returns and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy and these Terms.

Unless otherwise required by law, we do not provide refunds for:

  • Customs delays.
  • Export or import inspections.
  • Carrier delays.
  • Tracking delays.
  • Customer change of mind after processing or dispatch.
  • Normal shipping compression.
  • Minor colour, texture, shape, winding, or size variations.
  • Refused deliveries.
  • Incorrect addresses provided by the customer.
  • Orders still in transit and expected to be delivered.

Where a return is approved:

  • Items must be unused, unopened where applicable, and in resalable condition.
  • Customers may be responsible for return shipping costs.
  • Returns may need to be sent to an overseas facility.
  • Original shipping, customs, handling, and logistics costs may be non-refundable where permitted by law.
  • We may offer refund, replacement, store credit, or partial compensation depending on the issue.

Products that have been used, altered, damaged after delivery, or affected only by normal shipping compression are not eligible for return.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

SECTION 13 – CHARGEBACKS, PAYMENT DISPUTES & FRIENDLY FRAUD

By placing an order, you agree to contact Yarn Haul first if there is any issue with your order, delivery, tracking, customs status, or parcel delay.

You agree not to file a chargeback, payment dispute, payment reversal, or bank claim for a parcel that:

  • Has been dispatched.
  • Is in transit.
  • Is delayed due to customs, export, import, or carrier processes.
  • Is still expected to be delivered.
  • Has been delivered to the delivery address provided at checkout.

Where a chargeback or payment dispute is filed, Yarn Haul reserves the right to provide the payment provider, card issuer, bank, or dispute processor with evidence including:

  • Your order confirmation.
  • Checkout records.
  • Proof of payment.
  • Proof that you accepted these Terms.
  • The version of the Terms accepted at checkout.
  • Shipping and logistics records.
  • Tracking information.
  • Customs or carrier updates.
  • Delivery confirmation where available.
  • Customer communication history.
  • Website delivery wording displayed at the time of purchase.

If a customer receives a refund, chargeback, payment reversal, or other repayment and the goods are later delivered, the customer agrees to either:

  • Repay the refunded amount; or
  • Return the goods unused and in original condition at the customer’s cost, unless otherwise required by law.

Failure to repay or return goods after receiving both the goods and a refund may be treated as unjust enrichment, misuse of the payment dispute process, or fraud, and Yarn Haul reserves the right to recover the amount owed.

SECTION 14 – PROOF OF ACCEPTANCE

By completing checkout, ticking any required agreement box, placing an order, or making payment, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms.

Yarn Haul may store and rely on records of your acceptance, including:

  • Date and time of order.
  • IP address where available.
  • Email address used at checkout.
  • Order number.
  • Payment record.
  • Checkbox acceptance record.
  • Terms version in force at the time of purchase.
  • Delivery estimate and customs delay wording shown at checkout.

These records may be used as evidence in customer service cases, payment disputes, chargebacks, legal claims, or fraud investigations.

SECTION 15 – CUSTOMER COMMUNICATIONS

Customers are responsible for monitoring the email address and phone number provided at checkout.

We may contact you regarding:

  • Order confirmation.
  • Dispatch updates.
  • Tracking updates.
  • Customs updates.
  • Delivery issues.

  • Delay notifications.
  • Refund or compensation options.

Failure to read or respond to communications may affect delivery, refund, or claim handling.

  • Yarn Haul may use, reproduce, edit, publish, and share the content for marketing, advertising, website, social media, and business purposes.

We are not obligated to compensate, publish, remove, or respond to feedback unless required by law.
